Right now, the most important thing you can do is to make others aware of the situation that unwed Korean moms face, and their need for appropriate assistance. The government's current approach to helping them, based on the nation's low birthrate, is insufficient and unfair (for instance, it will not help a mom who has been discriminated against at work and fired to regain her job). This is very much a human rights issue.Rick Boashttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03723460133128121185noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5449105717837845438.post-30338692234400840622010-11-11T19:43:20.531-05:002010-11-11T19:43:20.531-05:00I'm glad there is an organization like this. ...I'm glad there is an organization like this. I'd like to do something to help if possible. I am also a single mom, but not in Korea, in the US, so much easier. But my son's father was a Korean immigrant. He ran off and never saw the baby, and I couldn't find him until this year. He married someone else (Korean) and had a baby with her. And I learned that he died last year.Shannonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04825027972915874475noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5449105717837845438.post-21122889071680320142010-09-01T18:09:11.624-04:002010-09-01T18:09:11.624-04:00To Korean Focus:
